Peterborough United’s deaf football team were left stunned after four goals from St John in the second half took what looked like a probable victory away.
Posh started the game well with goals from Will Rolls and Chris Majid but succumbed to St John in the second half. Posh also missed two penalties in the second half which would have won them the game. St John’s scored 4 in a row in quick succession before Liam Avey gave the visitors renewed hope in the closing stages. Will Rolls also pulled up with a hamstring injury in the first half.
Posh dominated much of the possession and enjoyed periods of dominance but St John, led by the ever energetic Memnos Costi and some good old-fashioned tactics, took the three-points.
