Posh Deaf racked up their third win of the season and first of 2016 with a below-par performance over Charlton Athletic Reserves on Sunday.
Qadeer Hussain won a penalty for the Posh in the first-half which Cameron Cockerill converted. Cockerill again scored from the spot to make it 15 goals for the season.
Will Rolls was sent off on 60 minutes after an altercation with a Charlton player before Alex Tovey found some space in the crowded box and buried the ball after a corner.
It was also the first time in the league that Peterborough kept a clean sheet.
Posh remain fourth in the table with 4 games remaining. Next up the team travel to Brighton where they’ll be hoping for three more points in the hunt for a top-three finish.
