Peterborough United’s Manager Dave Robertson and Assistant Manager Grant McCann are preparing to face Arsenal’s Charity team on Sunday.
Posh Legend McCann and fans favourite Robertson will be taking the field at the Legend’s v Celebs match taking place at Peterborough Northern Star’s ground in Dogsthorpe on Sunday.
The match is being held to raise funds for Peterborough United’s Deaf Football project which has bought accessible football coaching to over 50 deaf players this season.
McCann cemented himself in Posh folklore with his involvement in two posh promotion campaigns, his never-say-die attitude, passing wizardry and eye for goal. He memorably scored the third goal in Posh’s play-off final win over Huddersfield.
As well as Posh Legends taking on the Arsenal Celebs, the day also involves some of the worlds best disability footballers.
Great Britain’s deaf European Bronze Medalists will be taking on a Peterborough Northern Star side and Peterborough United’s new amputee team, with three international players in it, will be taking on the Posh Deaf side.
There will also be a speed gun goal, face painting, a bouncy castle, penalty competition and raffle including some valuable memorabilia. There’ll be a bar too!
It’s £4 to get in and the gates open at 11am. Posh and Arsenal take to the field at 1pm
