Michael Bedford opened the scoring after only 45 seconds and then Cameron Cockerill netted twice and Qadeer Hussain added another to make it 4-0 at the break.

Cockerill completed his hat-trick in the second half with more goals from Bedford, Hussain, Chris Majid and Will Rolls.

Peterborough had almost a full team to select from with Gary Hope watching on from the side after an injury playing tennis. Nottingham were introducing some new players into their team with some regular first teamers unavailable.
