Peterborough United’s Deaf team to face the Oxford Amputee team this Saturday

Peterborough United’s deaf football team will play Oxford’s Amputee team this Saturday in St Ives. The match kicks off at 10am at One Leisure in California Road and is the fourth match the Peterborough side have played and the first against an amputee side.

All those interested in deaf football or amputee football are encouraged to come along.

Andy Palmer, co-ordinator of Peterborough United’s Deaf Football teams said: “We’re really looking forward to this fixture. It’ll be interesting to see how the boys do against an experienced Oxford side who will be playing with a lot of confidence.”

“It would be great to see people come down and enjoy watching the game. If there are any players interested in taking up deaf football or amputee football, Saturday is the time to come along find out more.”
